I was fortunate enough to go to Top Drawer at Earls Court this week . . . . the venue was packed with designers/distributers and great to see whats going on in the world of gift cards and stationary! It was also really good for design inspiration for my own designs.

I LOVE: The Archivist - Letterpress Cards

I came across these Archivist Letterpress cards at Top Drawer. They are inspired by the worlds archive collections and are produced by hand using the letterpress technique in house on heavy laid textured card.

I LOVE: Lollipop designs

I love the fun products produced by Lollipop designs, ranging from rubber, card and cotton goods. They are often made by hand, using recycled papers and made in the UK.

I LOVE: Gillian Kyle Designs

I came across some of Gillian Kyles work at Top Drawer. Her work is fun and coulourful and is based heavily around icons of Scottish popular culture such as irn-bru and teacakes! Products range from aprons, tea towells, greetings cards and tees, to name a few!

I LOVE: Obiko

Another find at Top Drawer London was Obiko, creation of designer Linda Williams. Featuring a range of cards with interesting and contemporary patterns and illustrations- all printed in the UK.

I LOVE: Sanna Annukka

I absolutely love the work produced by illustrator Sanna Annukka. Her work is bold, bright and highly patterned with a distinct element of 'folklore' about it. Some of her clients include British Vogue, M&S, Marimekko and her work comes in a variety of products including, postcards, textiles and packaging!

New Year!

Kick started this year with an interview at YCN for an illustration internship and started my month long internship at Kensington club Maggie & Rose! The design brief for Maggie & Rose is to create a members pack consisting of a parents organiser and childrens activity book, using these excellent illustrations produced by an artist and illustrator for the club.
